Modern Mining is a Canadian domiciled company with operations in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The company was founded in Raleigh and initial funds were provided by the angel investor group RTP Capital.
Subsequent financing was provided by more traditional mining and exploration investors who saw the need for green tech metals produced in an environmentally favorable way.
We have designed our business for growth and plan to construct additional concentrator plants closer to sources of raw material. Initial research indicates that our first addition will be a plant on the West coast of USA, this may be followed by one in Canada or Europe and later in Africa.

Recognized for procurement, sales, executive leadership, aviation recycling, precious metal refining, end-of-life market, asset management, and client relationship development. Previously VP of Procurement for Conecsus Aerospace acquiring end-of-life unserviceable assets from global locations, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Singapore.

An entrepreneur and scientist, he successfully built and operated his own company, Nutrevolution (Pty) Ltd. in South Africa from 2005 until its sale in 2019. The company developed its technology for the metabolic control of drug resistant epilepsy. He grew the company to have international agents in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Turkey, Israel and China. Peter earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry (UNISA) and an Honors degree in molecular biology (NWU).

Experienced production operations leader with 25 years’ experience working in the precious metals refining, automotive and chemical industries, including Metallix. Skilled in operations management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement and ISO standards. Strong quality assurance professional with an MS degree focused in chemistry from East Carolina University in 1997.

Basil Botha’s (MBA) career in the mining and capital markets arena spans more than forty years with projects and mining operations in Africa, South America, China, South East Asia, Scandinavia and North America. Mr. Botha is the past chairman of Lithium Americas Inc., past Executive Chairman of Nordic Gold, a fully permitted 70,000 oz gold producer in Finland, and Past Executive Chairman of Ares Strategic Mining Inc.
